IPL 2023 Medical Guidelines: There is no longer fear of the coronavirus in the world of sports. From cricket to other sports, now the Kovid positive players are also getting permission to enter the field. From last year’s T20 World Cup until now, Kovid positive players have been a part of game-11 in almost all cricket leagues and side-by-side series. But this will not happen in IPL 2023.

In the medical guidelines issued for IPL 2023, it has been made clear that the Kovid positive player may have to stay in isolation for a week. It is written in the guidelines: ‘There is a considerable decline in Kovid-19 cases in India, but we must be vigilant about all its different variants appearing at regular intervals. In such a situation, players positive for this virus may have to remain in isolation for up to seven days. In this period of isolation, the Kovid positive player must stay away from matches, as well as all kinds of activities and events.

The team can join even after 5 days
This medical guide for IPL 2023 has been delivered to all franchises this week. It is also written in this that if the Kovid positive players test negative on the 5th day and then within 24 hours the 2nd test report is also negative then they can also join the team from the 6th day .

Getting discount since August last year
Starting from the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Kovid positive players in cricket started getting permission to participate in the match. In the women’s T20 match against India at CWG 2022, Australia’s Tahila McGrath was awarded a spot in game-11 despite being Kovid positive. Since then, on many occasions in cricket, players have been seen playing even after testing positive for Covid.
