In the medical guidelines issued for IPL 2023, it has been made clear that the Kovid positive player may have to stay in isolation for a week. It is written in the guidelines: ‘There is a considerable decline in Kovid-19 cases in India, but we must be vigilant about all its different variants appearing at regular intervals. In such a situation, players positive for this virus may have to remain in isolation for up to seven days. In this period of isolation, the Kovid positive player must stay away from matches, as well as all kinds of activities and events.
The team can join even after 5 days

Getting discount since August last year
Starting from the 2022 Commonwealth Games, Kovid positive players in cricket started getting permission to participate in the match. In the women’s T20 match against India at CWG 2022, Australia’s Tahila McGrath was awarded a spot in game-11 despite being Kovid positive. Since then, on many occasions in cricket, players have been seen playing even after testing positive for Covid.
